Statement of Faith

Celtic Heart for Christ Ministries, CHCM is a non-denominational ministry organization reaching out to all individuals regardless of denominational ties, faith affiliation, and ethnic origin.  The message of salvation in Jesus Christ is for all men and women and is desired by God so as to forgive their sins and adopt them into His family and kingdom as His child and joint heir with Jesus .

CHCM believes and affirms all scripture contained in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is God breathed, authored by the Holy Spirit and is truth.  Scripture reveals the true nature of God, His purpose and relationship with man, and the relationship man is to have with his creator.

CHCM believes and affirms there is only one God with three persons, all co-equals, operating as one.  This is the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.  For the sake of redemption of mankind, God the Son emptied Himself of His Godhood and was born as a human.  His name is Jesus.  He became His creation lived by faith, and did not sin, so as to bring salvation to the fallen world of mankind.

CHCM as per Romans 3:22 – 24, believes and affirms that our justification and salvation is attained only as a free gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His redemptive work as the atoning sacrifice on the cross for our sins.

CHCM believes and affirms, as the central doctrine of Christian faith, in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave on the third day and now sits at the right hand of the Father as our brother, vindicator, advocate, High Priest, and King.

CHCM believes and affirms water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, of those who have made a personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.  Baptism is an expression of one’s faith and commitment to Jesus Christ and not the means of salvation.

CHCM believes and affirms the presence of the Holy Spirit within the heart of every believer in Jesus Christ and it is the Spirit’s work of sanctification that transforms the believer into the  likeness of Jesus Christ.

CHCM believes and affirms that Jesus Christ is the baptizer in the Holy Spirit and fire.  This was first manifested on the Day of Pentecost by tongues of fire resting on the heads of the disciples.  This baptism empowered them to mightily go forward and share the gospel message of Jesus Christ.  This same baptism, though not with visible tongues of fire, empowers the believer today in deeper service to God and emboldens their walk of faith.

CHCM believes and affirms the Holy Spirit cultivates and brings growth of all the fruits of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, in all believers.  The evidence of these fruits and their growth is dependent on an individual believer’s desire for the Holy Spirit to be active in their life.

CHCM believes and affirms the Gifts of the Spirit fall into three categories:

 1) Gifts of ministry.  This is the five-fold ministries of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.  Their three-fold purpose is: a) perfecting and equipping the saints; b) works of ministry; c) edifying and building up of the body of Christ.

2) Gifts of skills, talents, and services. These are the innate abilities, endowed and created into every person defining them to be the person God created them to be.

3) Spiritual gifts.  These gifts as described in 1Cor. 12, and are authored into each believer by the Holy Spirit.  The Spirit dispenses these gifts on whomever He decides.  We may seek a specific gift but the final decision is the Holy Spirit and empowered by God.  These and all gifts are for the common good of the body of Christ.

The Gifts of Ministry - Gifts of Skills, Talents, and Services - Spiritual Gifts,  are blessed by God and equal whether used in secular life or in ecclesiastical ministries. There is no seperation of sacred and secular for a follower of Jesus Christ. All work is sacred and is to be done as being done unto the Lord.

No matter what gift or multiple gifts a believer may have, if not done in agape love, the believer’s actions are nothing more than a clanging bell and that believer attains nothing. (1Cor. 13)

CHCM believes and affirms the sanctity of marriage.  That it is ordained by God to be between one man and one woman and that through marriage they become one flesh.  Marriage is to be a lifelong, monogamous commitment.

Due to the scriptural aspects of marriage as ordained by God, CHCM will not officiate nor endorse any wedding ceremony except that between one physical and natural biological male and one physical and natural biological female.

CHCM believes and affirms the rights of an individual for freedom of conscience and doctrinal preferences in their expressed faith in Jesus Christ.  No one person or denomination has complete knowledge of the eternal God except that which is revealed through scripture.  Even that revelation is subject to our ability to hear from the Holy Spirit and personal interpretation of the word of God.

CHCM believes and affirms in the sanctity of life from the point of conception through birth and beyond.  CHCM is a pro-life ministry.

CHCM believes and affirms in the dignity of all men and women regardless of stature and status in life and that all mankind is loved by God equally. Believers, followers of Christ, are to love all mankind in the same manner as God.  Also, we are to forgive as our Father has forgiven us.  Further, CHCM disavows all forms of discrimination and expressions of hatred.

CHCM believes and affirms the traditional Christian moral and ethical values and standards as established by Biblical scripture.  CHCM will not alter or amend its Statement of Faith so as to satisfy cultural digressions from the word of God, or to align itself with denominational acceptances of any cultural digressions into sin and sinful behavior.
